CHRISTCHURCH.
This day. Yesterday afternoon tho foundation stone of the Sailors' Home at Lyttelton was laid by the Mayor in the presence of the members of the Harbor Board and Borough Council. The building is to contain 23 bedrooms, five bath-rooms, and dining , , billiard, card-rooms, &o. Messrs Tollit and Comber arc the contractors, tho amount being £2460.
