TRAINING NOTES.
Tho work done on the course this morning was not of a very exciting nature. Chafl'e, as usual, was the first to arrive, and gave his team (with the exception of To At a.) slow work. Te Ata, however, did tho Handicap distance, finishing- with a hack at racing speed hard held. Edwards sent Kingcruig and Lecturer off together, doing a mile fast, when Lecturer parted with his rider, Kingcraig continuing for another mile at a canter. Leonora wont four miles with sweaters on, the last mile very fast. Martin now arrived, and treated the spectators to a cantor round tho course by the whole strength of his stable, when they stripped, and were sent in the followingOrder —Carmen and Mischief going one mile together, Mischief then picking up Robina and coming home tho second round at a rattling pace. Wild Dayrcll, Kiugask, and Tim Whifflcr then went for a two-mile, spin, going tho distance at a steady gallop.
Yankee, in g-ood form, then went two miles alone. " Sijil.
