A special train leaves Hastings for Napier and intermediate stations at 7 p.m., returning on the conclusion of the performance at the Theatre. The brethren of the Scindc Lodge of Freemasons hold their regular monthly meeting in the Masonic Hall, Tcmiysonstreet, this evening- at 7.30. The members of St. John's Baud of Hope meet at 7.0<.) to-night in St. John's schoolroom. The Napier Young Men's Mutual Improvement Association holds the opening meeting of the session in St. Paul's schoolroom atS o'clock this evening for the purpose of passing programme and any other business. Mr Lyndon sells the furniture and effects of Mr P. S. Maedonald on the premises at Hastings at 11 a.m. to-morrow. A committee meeting- of the Ladies Benevolent Society to dispose of special business will be held in St. John's schoolroom at 3.30 p.m. to-morrow. The members of the late Rifle Band arc requested to meet at the usual time and place to-morrow evening. An entertainment in connection with the Napier Christian Temperance Association will be given in St. John's school room tomorrow evening. Mr Montcith sells horses, buggy, and onions at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday afternoon. The acting secretary, Mr M. R, Miller, officially announces the winding up of the Hawke's Bay Meat Export Company (limited). Several corrections and additions are made to the list of special prizes to be awarded at the forthcoming show of the Horticultural Soc-iety. Dr. Matthews, surgeon, <fee, has commenced practice at Percy House, Tennysonstreet, where lie may "be consulted daily. Two mares, one with colt at foot, have been impounded at Taradule, and, if not redeemed, will be sold on "Wednesday, 1-1 th instant. A number of testimonials are published in reference to the quality of Messrs Keast and McCarthy's Dunedin beer by the local agents, Messrs Smyth and Williams. Messrs Blytho and Co. announce that the line of grey and brown fancy dress stutl's, which are being offered at reduced prices, are more than half cleared. Messrs Smyth and Williams, accountants, commission agents, ka., publish the names of a list of firms for which they are the local agents. The Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr Birch, notifies that the deed of arrangement riled for the benefit of the creditors of J. J. Browne, of Ormondville, has been declared to bo completely executed. Mr li. G. Graham has a six-roomed house in Milton Terrace to let. Mr Joseph Torr, sen., has the Brook - lenes farm at Petane to let for a term of years. Cooper's dip can be procured in any quantity from Mr "Woods, chemist.
