ARRIVALS. February. 26—MaiT Wadlev, three-masted schooner, from Newcastle, New South Wales.
DEPARTURES. February. 26—Omapere, s.s., for Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Prm, Mrs McCable, Messrs George, He9secks, Melbourne and Southern.
The Union Steamship Company's s.s., Omapere, Captain Webster, missed the tide last evening through an accident to her winch. She, however, got away last night for Poverty Bay and Auckland, and is telegraphed as having arrived at the former place at 8.30 a.m. this day. The p.s. Manaia did not get aivay for Wairoa last night as was intended. _ She will, however, leave at about 10.30 to-night, should the weather hold fine. The three-masted schooner which arrived yesterday proved, as we surmised, to be the Mary Wadlcy, Captain Lindfors, from Newcastle, N.S.W., which place she reports liaAing left at 1 p.m. on the 13th instant and experienced N.E. and S.E. winds, with high confused easterly sea, throughout the passage ; passed the North Cape ou the 22nd at 0 a.m. : on the 25th at 7 a.m., rounded the East Cape, and at noon on the 2Gth came to an anchor in the roadstead after a passage of thirteen days. She was berthed inside at the breastwork this morning by the pilot, where she will discharge her cargo of coal consigned to Mr J. H. Vautier, her owner. Tho s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, left Wellington for the coast and Napier last night, She will in all probability arrive here during the night, and will be sailing again for the same place during to-morrow afternoon. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Taiaroa, from Southern ports, is expected to be leaving AVellington at 3 o'clock this afternoon, and will be duo here by about midday to-morrow. This steamer is announced to leave for Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. Tho Union steamer Southern Cross is telegraphed as having left Auckland for the South at G o'clock last night, and will probably arrive here on Thursday night.
BARQUE MAY QUEEN FOR LONDON.
Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s barque May Queen, Capt. G. G. Colville, cleared at the Custom House to-day Avith a cargo of produce for London consisting of 2928 bales of wool and skins, 477 quarter-bales of wool, 121 casks of tallow, 327 cases of preserved meats, and 2 packages of effects. The following is a summary of her cargo, its values, and shippers : — Shipped by Mr F. W. Wil- £ s. d. liams. — 100 bales and 65 quarter-bales wool, 70 casks of tallow, 327 cases of meats, estimated value .. .. 3,770 10 6 Shipped by Messrs Kinross and Co., her agents. —1533 bales and 280 quarter-bales of wool, 4 bales of sheepskins, 51 casks of tallow, and 2 packages personal effects, valued at 20,115 17 3 Shipped by Messrs Murray, Roberts and" Co. —1274 bales and 32 quarter-bales of "wool, and 17 bales of sheepskins, valued at 19,306 17 0 Estimated total value .. 49,199 10 9 The passengers, of whom there are a considerable number, their luggage, and friends, will bo taken off by the s.s. Sir Donald at 5 o'clock to-morrow evening, tho May Queen if possible sailing* during the night, when we wish, her genial skipper, his officers, and passengers bon voyage.

Arrived, this morning, Mossageries Maritime's Company's steamship Melbourne from Marseilles (left January 18). [BY TELEGRAPH.] THE KENTISH LASS IN A GALE. Welligton, This day Arrived, barque Rio, Captain Robertson, from New York (left October 25). She has a. part cargo for Lytteltou. Tho barque Kentish Lass, from Newcastle, which place she left ou the 10th, arrived off Cape Farewell on Thursday, and since then has met with very severe weather. During a heavy gale the bulwarks from the main to the fore rigging on the starboard side were earned away, the main rail on the port side was smashed, and the port boat aud tho casing of the wheel were also broken up. An oil bag was hung from tho boAvs, and Avhile it lasted it prevented tho seas breaking-: Auckland, This day. Arrived, Pacific Mail steamer City of Sydney from Sydney.
