Many political rumors are now in circulation, but nothing certain is known regarding the prospect of the i-arious parties. It is, however, understood that a pourparler has taken place between the Conservative and the Liberal leaders, and it is expected that a coalition Avill result. It has been decided that the cricket match between the English eleven and the combined Australian team shall be played here, and arrangements have been made for commencing on March 9. This day. Mr Grant, Chief Secretary, lias withdrawn his candidacy for tho Speakership. It has transpired'that Mr Graham Berry has had an interview with Mr James Service, but nothing is known as to the result of the meeting. The officials of the Colonial Bank of Australia are reticent regarding the alleged robbery by one of tho clerks. It is believed, however, that the sum of £800 is missing.
