IT is hereby notified that in pursuance of the provisions contained in the 62nd and 63rd clauses of tho Counties Act Amendment Act, ISS2, and of By-law No. 7 prohibiting the running at large of Pigs and Goats, the Council of the County of Hawke's Bay has established a Public Pound for the purpose of impounding Goats and Pigs only, situate on a portion of the site of the Public Slaughter House at Awatoto, and being within tho said Hawke's Bay County, by the name of "Awatoto Pound" as from the 19th March, ISS3, and do hereby appoint THOMAS ALDRIDGE, of Awatoto, Inspector of Slaughter Houses, Poundkeeper as from the l'Jth day of March, ISS3. F. SUTTON, Chairman C.C. Hawko's Bay. G. T. Fannin, C.C. Hawke'.s Bay. BYE-LAW No. 7. A BYE-LAW TO PROHIBIT THE RUNNING- AT LARGE OF PIGS" AND OOAT3 WITiUN THE COUNTY OF HAWKE'S BAY. In pursuance of the provisions of tho " Counties Act, IS7G," and the "Counties Act, IS7G Amendment Act, 1882," the County Council of Hawko's Bay do order as follows, that is to say :--- 1. Any pigs or goats found running at large may bo impounded by any person in any public pound or in any enclosure specially appointed for the purpose by the Council, and publicly notified. Such enclosure shall, for the purpose of this bye-law only, be deemed a public pound, and the like fees and damages shall be payable in respect of any pigs or goats impounded therein, as in the case of a public pound. 2. The owner of any pig or goat found running at largo shall bo deemed guilty of an offence, and shall, upon conviction, forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding £1 for every pig or goat so foiuid running at large, to bo recovered in the manner provided by the 20Sth section of the "Counties Act, 1876." t For Sale. 17 OR SALE—Wholesale and Retail ConJj fectionory Business.
