The sale of needlework, fancy articles, &C, will be continued in the temporary church of St. Andrews, at tho Spit this evening. \ Artillery and Rifle recruits parade for squad drill under Sergt.-Major Fox at 7.30 this evening in Mr Tiff en'a shed. Mr Ryan will sell by auction to-morrow at 11 a.m., at his mart, a quantity of household furniture, carpets, ornaments, mirrors, ire. Tenders for the delivery on Tannery road, Meanee, of (300 yard-' of shingle at per yard, must be in'the hands of Mr Rymer, chairman of the Road Board, by noon tomorrow. The creditors of Angus M'Kay hold a general meeting at the Court House, Napier, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, when the bankrupt will apply for a certificate that he has complied with the provisions of the Bankruptcy Acts. Mr Montcith's regular weekly sale of horses, vehicles, harness, produce, kc, takes place at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday as usual. A red and white Shorthorn steer has been impounded at Hastings, and, if not redeemed, will be sold on the l.ifc proximo. The plant of the Hampden saw mills is for sale by private tender. Mr Prebble, fruiterer, Hastings-street and at Theatre Royal, receives regular shipments of fruits in season from Hobart, Sydney, and San Francisco. Mrs Prebble has a servants' registry office at the Theatre Royal. Mr Prebble is selling plums for preserving in any quantity very cheap. Gentlemen's linen collars are still being cleared at reduced prices at Messrs Blythe and Co.'s. Mr E. Fougcre, Grassmere, Meauee, invites tenders for about 2o chains of ditching at Grassmere. Messrs Combs and Co. are clearing their stock of ladies choice and fashionable millinery at the Cash Palace. Private board and residence near town is wanted. Machine oil can be procured from Mr Woods, at tho Apothecaries Hall; samples on application. Mr Ziegel, the local manager of the New Zealand Clothing Factory, informs the public that, owing , to his early departure South, he is prepared to take orders for measure made suits, which will be executed under his personal supervision.
