PORT OF NAPIER
DEPARTURES. February. 12—Fairy, s.s., for Mahia. 13—Maori, s.s., for Wairoa. PassengersMessrs H. Flint, J. A. Pocock, A. Meßoberts, Balfour, and Turner, and two natives. 13—Boojum, s.s., for Wairoa -with three passengers.
The Union Company's s.s., Boojum, Capt. Maloney, left for the Wairoa at a few minutes past 12 o'clock last iiiyht, takingthree passengers. She -will be returning to port again to-night. The steamer Fairy left for Mahia last evening, taking a cargo of posts, empty whale oil casks, rams, and some stores. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Taiaroa was to leave Wellington this afternoon, and should arrive here in good time to-morrow. She -will be tendered in the roadstead for cargo and passengers on arrival and is announced to steam for Gisborne, Taurauga, and Auckland at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, took her departure for Wairoa shortly after 12 o'clock last night, taking a number of passengers and a full cargo, consisting principally of timber. The s.s. Kiwi's departure , from Wellington has been again postponed, and she will not now leave until 5 o'clock to-night. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross left Auckland at 6 o'clock this morning for the East Coast, and should arrive here early on Thursday morning.
