February. s—Kiwi, 8.5., for Wellington direct. s—Omapero, h.s., for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland. Passengers — Messrs Hamlin, Christy, and Cornish.

The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Omapero took her departure for Gisbome, Tauranga, and Auckland, at 1.30 p.m. yesterday. She is telegraphed as having arrived at the former place at 1 o'clock this

morning. The steamer Kiwi, for Wellington, was taken outside shortly before o o'clock last night, and anchored in the roadstead for a few hours before taking her departure.

The departure of the Wairoa traders Manaia and Maori for Wairoa has been postponed until the weather becomes more propitious. The Union Company's steamer Taiaroa arrived in the roadstead at daylight this morning from Gisbome, Tauranga, and Auckland, and was tendered by the steamer Sir Donald for mails, passengers, and cargo at about 7 o'clock. The following- is a report of this vessel's passage: —Left Auckland at G. 30 p.m. on the 3rd and arrived at Tauranga at 7 a.m. on the 4th ; left at 11 a.m., and reached Gisbome at 6 a.m. on the sth ; left at 6 p.m., and arrived at Napier as given above. The outward passengers and mails for Wellington, Lyttletou, and Port Chalmers will be taken oft' by the Sir Donald at 3 o'clock this afternoon, the Taiaroa proceeding on her way on their embarkation.

The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross is expected to be leaving , Wellington this afternoon, and may bo expected to arrive here to-morrow. Her outward passengers for Gisbome, Tologa Bay, and Auckland are announced to leave the wharf at 3 o'clock.
