Judgment by default for plaintiff, with costs 12s, and counsel's free £1 Is. Mr Lee for the plaintiff. Fortune and Black v. Dogherty.—Claim £2 los Id. The latter denied that the goods had been supplied to the defendant, but to Mr Merrick, who had since sought the protection of the Bankruptcy Court. On the other hand it was stated by Lee that Sellars himself had ordered the goods, Merrick's credit being stopped. Evidence having been taken judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount claimed, with costs 11s, and counsel's fee £1 Is. A number of other civil cases were settled out of Court.
