The coroner's jury found that the Crcswick mining accident was due to an error of judgment on the part of Mr Nicholas, the mine manager, in consequence of a mistake in the survey. A rider to the verdict recommends a compulsory mode of signalling, and also that the escape drives should be provided with ladders. Private telegrams to hand state that Mr Young's proposal to alter the dates of the London wool sales have been negatived.
