[by cable.] London, January 2-1. Consols haA'c advanced to 102. Ncav Zealand securities are unchanged. "Wheat is firm at 50s Gd for Adelaide, exstore, aud -Ms Gd to 18s for New Zealand ditto. Australian tallow, best beef 43s Gd, and best mutton 465. The market is firm. January 25. The Bank of England has this day reduced the rate of discount from five to four per cent. Adelaide, January 25. A large number of vessels are in port unable to obtain freight. No Avheat is obtainable, and more vessels arc offering than can find cargoes ; 17s 6d to London has been refused, and lower rates arc offered aud accepted.
