SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
PUKETAPU. At the annual meeting of householders on Monday evening for the election of a School Committee for Puketapu, Mr W. r Elbourne was voted to the chair. The following gentlemen were elected as the new Committee: —Messrs S. Graham, J. Bicknell, AY. Hughes, W. Elbourne, J. C. Speedy, A. Williams, and P. Kilkenny. At the meeting of the Committee subsequently Mr AY. Elbourne was elected chairman. PORANGAHAU. Nine candidates were nominated for the new School Committee, the following being elected:—The Rev. Mr Simcox, Messrs Stuart, T. Crosse, G. Cross, AY. Palmer, Brough, and T. Williams. At the meeting of the Committee held afterwards the Rev. W. Simcox was elected chairman, Mr T. Crosse secretary, Mr T. AVilliams treasurer, and Mr AY. Palmer auditor.
