At a public meeting of the ratepayers of Kaiapoi last night it avus resolved to employ a thoroughly competent accountant to investigate the Council's accounts since the date of the last Government audit. The City Guards, Christchurch Rifles, Christ's College Rifles, Artillery, and Lyttelton Navals, have been SAVorn in under the new Volunteer Regulations to the number of 245 men.
