BATHING IN PUBLIC PLACES.
TTo the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —I see in your issue of yesterday that you call attention to a nuisance in the shape of bathing in sight of a public road. This ■should certainly be remedied and speedily, but there is, I think, a nuisance AA-hich still more urgently calls for attention. Tliis exists on the Beach road, where a number of boys may be seen every afternoon bathing in the surf right in" front of peoples' houses. This state of affairs slioavs a neglect somcAvherc, especially as there is, I believe, a by-hnv prohibiting such praticcs, and if you would kindly call attention to it tlirough your A-aluable columns you A\-oidd confer a benefit on many avlio reside on Beach Road. Napier, January 20,1882.
