NELSON.
This day. A young man named J. H. Lighthand has been arrested here on arrival from Wangamii on account of a threatening- telegram sent by him to his father. A loaded revolver Avas found in his trunk. The heat here yesterday was very oppressive, 125 degrees in the sun being registered. At the education committee of householders last night it Avas resolved that an evening school for youths who have left school shoidd be proA-ided.
