Duties ■will be resumed at the Marist Brothers' .school and the parish school at St. Joseph's Monastery on Monday morning , . Mr J. A. Reardcn wll receive a few more pupil boarders and day scholars at the Napier Commercial Academy on and after Monday. Tenders for clearing about 150 acres of land near Korokipo, or for ploughing- and clearing in one contract, -will be received not later than Monday by Mr F. Sutton. A concert in aid of the Pukotapu school funds will be given in the school-room on Friday evening next. Ryiner's coach ■will leave Newton's corner for Pukotapu at 5.30 p.m. that day. Mr H. G. Spackman, Percy House, Tennyson-street, teaches music and tunes pianos and harmoniums, and also imports musical instruments. Mr Lyndon will sell a large collection, of pictures, chromos, and fancy goods by auction on Tuesday. Instructed by Messrs Cohen and Stock, in consequence of dissolution of partnership, Messrs Banner and Liddle will sell by auction, at Mr Bryson's shop, Hastings street, on Tuesday, two large totalisators, with all necessary stamps and appliances. A bay gelding and a bay mare have been impounded at Hastings, which will be sold on February 3rd if not previously redeemed. Messrs Gilberd and Anderson, of the Taradale Nursery, will have for sale next planting season a number of fruit trees, flowering shrubf, vegetable plants, &c, at Auckland prices. Mr Prebble is the town agent. Mr Dugleby invites tenders for making additions to Mr Kelly's hotel at Hastings. Mr Monteith has been instructed by Mr Jolm Bennett to sell on tlie premises, Omaranui, about the middle of February, the whole of his stock of cattle, sheep, pigs, implements, vehicles, furniture, kc. Mr J. S. "Welsman has just received from London a choice assortment of fancy goods, toilet sets, vases, flower-bowls, &c. Messrs Hoadloy, Lyon, and Co. make additions to their list "of sheep for sale at the ram fair at Hastings on Wednesday next. Messrs Hardy aud Sidoy are opening up
parrot cages, sofa springs, and preserving pans. Messrs Blythe and Co. quote prices for all wool tweed remnants. In consequence of being quarantined, Messrs M. R. Miller and Potts will not be able to sell 2-5 rams from the Waikato at the ram fair, but will dispose of same at the Spit yards on Thursday next. Mr W. E. Woods, Pharmaceutical Chemist, Napier and Hastings, informs the public that owing to increase in business, he has determined to reduce his scale of charges. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " AVanted " column.
