January 10. Iv the Chamber of Deputies to-day M. Faillures, Minister of the Interior, introduced a bill to provide measures to prevent the issue of manifestos by Bonapartist pretenders.f g The measure provides for the punishment of the offenders by imprisonment instead of by expulsion from France. Prince Krapotkine and the leaders of the Socialist movement have been .sentenced to five years penal servitude, and various tenn-s of imprisonment have been passed upon the other Socialist prisoners. A report is current that a widespread Legitimist plot is now in existence in France under the leadership of M. Charrette.
