UNITED METHODIST FREE CHURCH DISTRICT MEETING.

The third day's sitting of the above meeting was held yesterday in the Carlyle-street Church. The minutes of the previous day's sittings ■were read and confirmed. It was resolved that the Missionary Committee be strongly urged to send out for the ■work of the ministry in the colony ministers of such experience and ability as will fit them to take charge as superintendents of the larger circuits in the district; also, that an intimation be sent to the missionary secretary to the effect that the superintendents of circuits not having received copies of minutes of annual. assembly the business of the district meeting in the election of a representative had in consequence been retarded. The following additional resolution was also adopted:—" That this district meeting, having heard the spiritual and numerical reports read, while it deeply deplores that greater success has not attended the labours of our churches in the district, yet rejoices over the measure of prosperity afforded as evidenced by tlie increase of about fifty members, expresses its gratitude to Almighty God, and prays that the members of our churches may be awakened to a livelier interest in our cause, and that the liighest blessing of God may be upon us in our lib our."
