SYDNEY.
January 10. The re-election for East Sydney of Mr G. H. Reid, the Minister for Public Instruction will be opposed by Mr Alfred Likington. The programme -which is stbout to be laid before the Legislative Assembly by the new Government embraces the amendment of the land laws and Civil Service Act. reform of the criminal law, and provision for a large measure of local self-government.
