H. and Mrs Cornford, Riirbt Rev. the Bishop of Waiapu, Messrs Levison, Wilson, andWhytock. .5-Southern Cross, s.s., for Wellington. * The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotorua, Captain M'Gec, arrived in the roadstead from Wellington and Southern ports shortly after 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, having left Dunedin on Sunday, December 31st,'Lyttelton on January 2nd, and "Wellington on the 3rd at 5.30 p.m., arriving here as above. Up to Wellington she experienced westerly winds, and from ihence to arrival strong south-west with heavy sea. Her cargo, of which there was but a small quantity, was discharged into the ketch Three Brothers during the afternoon. The outward passengers were embarked at -1 o'clock, the Rotorua resuming ber passage for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland"at abouts o'clock. The steamer Kiwi. Captain Campbell, was to have left Wellington at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and is expected to arrive here by to-morrow morning. She will be leaving again for Wellington and the coast ou Saturday afternoon. The p.s. Manaia.' Captain Baxter, was deterred from leaving for Wairoa. last evening owing to an unfavorable report of the Wairoa bar being received. Advices to-day state that the sea is going down, and she will be leaving at 8 o'clock to-night. The Union 'Company's steamer Southern Cross arrived here at an early hour this morning from Gisborne and Auckland, and was berthed inside later on. She brought some 85 bales of wool from Poverty Bay, which she transhipped into the Carl Graf Attems at the breastwork. The Southern Cross took her departure for Wellington at 10.30 a.m. Captain Alhnan, late of the s.s. Beautiful Star, is now in command. The steamer Maori, Capt. Anderson, is telegraphed as having left Wairoa at 11 o'clock this morning, and will probably arrive by 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Wairarapa left Auckland for this port and Gisborne at noon yesterday, with 30 tons of cargo for here, aud should arrive here by daylight in the morning. She will be leaving for the South at the usual hour on Siiturday namely, 11.30 a.m. The topsail schooner Zior has ballasted, and expects to sail ou the afternoon's tide. The steamer Manapouri. Captain Logan, is expected to leave Wellington this afternoon, arriving here during to-morrow morning. The steamer Sir Donald expected to get away for coastal stations to-night.
