Section' 2 has a small frontage to theTuupo-road, and is bounded on one side by the Alohaka, river. Sections 3 and 4 have frontage to the Taupo-rond. Alaungaharuru District: Fern hills and spurs on the Avesteni slopes of tbe Alaungaharuru range, the soil is light, about one half of Section 2 is undulating country covered with natural grasses. Section 3is good pastoral land. Section 4 has frontage to Taupo-road. A few clumps of bush are scattered about on Section 1. AVaitara District: Open fern country, hilly. A bridle-road on the permanent grades has been formed a distance of 12 miles through the block, starting from the Tauporoad about 35 miles from Napier. "PROPERTY TAX ACT, 18S2. Clause 4.—That iv line 5 of Clause 4 the Avord "Architect" be inserted after the word "the" and before the Avord "Builder," and wherever the word " Builder occurs thoAvord " Architect" be inserted before it. Clause 7.—That the Avholc of Clause 7 be repealed. Clause 10.— Within No. 1 District. That this Clause be altered so as to read as follows, A-iz. ; — "AVithin No. 1 District the whole of the external Avails shall be of Iron, Brick, Stone, Concrete, or other incombustible material to be approved of by the Council, and rising not less than 30 inches above the roof, measured at right angles from the pitch of the roof, and if built of Brick, Stone, or Concrete, shall be of the thickness described in Schedule No. 2." BOROUGH OF NAPIER, "Dog Registration Act, ISSO." rpHE attention of OWNERS of DOGS JL is directed to Section 4of " The Dog Registration Act, 1880," which is as folloavs :— "Any person Avho shall keep any Dog Avithin the Colony of a greater ago than six months, for a period of fourteen days, Avithout causing such Dog to be Registered, and such Registration to be made again from year to year, shall be liable to a penalty of FIVE POUNDS for every such Dog, over and above the amount of any fee payable in respect of the Registration of such Dog." The Registration of Dogs Avithin the Borough of Napier will commence on the Ist of January next. Registration fee : Ten shillings, payable to Sergt.
