EFFECT OF GAMBETTA'S DEATH ON THE REPUBLIC. DISASTROUS ANITfATAL FLOODS IN GERMANY AND AUSTRIA. THE MIXED TRIBUNALS IN EGYPT. LONDON. January 3. The London morning papers announce that the loan of £4,000,000'f0r the Victorian Government will be placed in the market on the 7th instant, the price of the issue being at par. It has transpired that the Egyptian Government has proposed to the Powers that the present mixed international tribunals in Egypt should only be prolonged for another year instead of for an indefinite term.
