CORRESPONDENCE.

THE CASE EEIDY V. IIEIDY. [To the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —With respect to that part of the report of the case Reidy v. Hiedy, where Mr Lee fays the Avholo thing , was the outcome of a row between the wives of complainant and defendant, I most solemnly declare such was not the case, as my wife had no communication whatever with the wife of the defendant for the last nine months. I make this declaration for fear of a wrong impression getting abroad as regards my wife. As my wife's name is assailed by such a slander, 1 consider it my duty to defend her name against such. Hoping you will insert the above,—l am, Arc., TItOSIA3 lililDY. Napier, January 4, l'6oo.
