MILNER STEPHEN'S ALLEGED CURES.
[To the. Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —Referring to a paragraph that appeared in your issue of the 28th December, in which you publish a. statement from me as to the" power and skill of Mr Milner Stephen to cure, I beg to state I got permission from the Hospital doctor to see him, and for twenty-four hours after my visit I felt quite well, but gradually fell back info my usual state afterwards, and may now say that I am no better than before I saw him. You also state that I was leaving the Hospital on Saturday last; so I. was leaving, but the Hospital doctor was sending me home on pass for change of air. I have been induced to publish this to prevent a wrong impression going abroad.—l am, iVc, J. P. Hylaxd. Takapau, 29th December, 1882.
