POR T 0 F N A PIER. DEPARTURES. January. 2 -Fairy, s.s., for the coast. 3-Maori, s.s., for Wairoa, with several passengers. The steamer Fairy, Capt. Campbell, left for the coast last'evening for a load of wool. The s.s. Maori, Capt, Anderson, sailed for Wairoa at -1 o'clock this morning, taking a. good cargo. She is telegraphed as having arrived'at Wairoa at 10.30 a.m. The' Union Steamship Southern Cross, Capt, Bernech, left An_tland at G o'clock last evening, and will be due here at an early hour on Friday morning. It is expected that she will be bnngiu'"- a large uuantitv of wool from Gisborne lor transhipment here. She is announced to leave for Wellington at 10 o'clock on Friday morning. The p.s. Mauaia, Captain Baxter, is to sail for Wairoa at 12 o'clock to-morrow ni'dit. She will be taking a full cargo and several race horses for the Wairoa meeting. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotorua, Captain McGec. is to leave Wellington this afternoon, and is due here tomorrow morning. She will be sailing for Gisborne and Auckland at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The barque Thome is likely to be brought into the inner harbor, and will load up with wool for London. Try carle.] Melbourne:, this day.
