The office of the Permanent Building Society will be open at the usual time this evening for the receipt of monthly subscriptions. Air Lyndon will sell by auction to-morrow at 2 p.m., at bis mart;, the building adjoining the Napier district school, to bo removed within seven days. The Napier High School will be re-opened on the 20th instant, Air Robert Stuart offers a reward for a pair of eye-glasses, supposed to be lost in or about the Masonic Hotel. Air G. Some proposed alterations in By-law No. ID, Biuldiug Regv lions, which are published elsewhere, will be considered at a special meeting of the Borough. Council, to be held on AVednesday, the 10th instant. Two subscription lists towards the Hawke's Bay Hospital—one for the building fund and the other for the children's hospital—are published. Mr Monteith will hold a cattle sale at the Shamrock yards on Friday next, when 200 head of cattle will be offered. Mr Ryan sells household furniture, figs, &C, at his auction sale on Thursday. Messrs Blvthe and Co. have cheap hosiery on their sixpenny and shilling tables.
