[BY CABLE.] London, December 28. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £10,400,000, being an increase of £800,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has fallen to 36 per cent. Consols have advanced to 99i. New Zealand securities are firm at last quotations. The bank rate of discount remains at 5 percent; the market rate has advanced to There are no changes to report in the markets for colonial breadstuff's. Sydney, December 29.
