MESSRS BANNER AND LIDDLE'S WOOL SALE. Messrs Banner and Liddle report:—We held our second wool sale for this season yesterday, in our wool warehouse, Spit. There was a large attendance of buyers, and the tone of the sale was very animated throughout. With the exception of a few lots the wools catalogued found buyers at prices which must be considered very satisfactory, ns may bo seen from the following list of prices realised : —Greasy crossbred, TM, 4 bales, 7_d; pieces, 2, 3§d. DS, 8, Bid; 10, B_d ; 3, B|d ; pieces, 3, did. Greasy merino, DS, 3, 9£d. Various small lots realised from 2_d to 4d for locis and pieces, and odd lots crossbred fleece up to 7_d. Scoured, merino, fetched ls 4d; Lincoln, lid; crossbred, pieces, 9 to lid ; cross-bred locks, Bd. Our next sale will be held about the middle of January, when we shall offer some good merino and crossbred wools.
