MAILS CLOSE. For Wellington, Southern ports, and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, on Saturday, at 10.30 a.m. For Gisborne and Auckland, per Wairarapa, on Saturday, at 8 p.m. For the Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the T-Tnitcd Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, on Saturday, SOth December, at 8 a.m. Money orders and registered letters close on Friday, the 29th, at 5 p.m. The schooner Omaha will leave Lyttelton for the Chatham Islands on the 4th proximo. The Waipara will leave Hokitika on the oth proximo for Okarito, Jackson's Bay, and Southern ports of the West Coast of the Middle Island. J. Gexjbb, Chief Postmaster.
