ARTILLERY DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
Twelve members of the F Battery Artillery Volunteers assembled at the Tutaekuri range at 5.30 this morning to compete for the district prizes. The weather was all that could be desired for shooting, tbe atmosphere being clear, and a gentle breeze blowing across the range from the left. Some very good scores were made, the prize-takers, Lieut. Ross, and Gunners A. Fulford, Pram, and W. Fulford especially shooting well. The conditions were 200, 400, and 500 yards, with five shots at each range, the prizes being—First £2, second £1 10s, md third and fourth 15s each. We append the scores : — 200 400 500 Yds. Yds. Yds.
