PORT AHURIRI

ARRIVALS. December. 7—Thornc, barque, from Newcastle, N.S.W. B—Sir8 —Sir Donald, s.s., from Blackhead. DEPAETUKES. December. 7 —Maori, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers — Messrs E. Dransfiekl and Yorkej.

The barque -which arrived in the roadstead yesterday afternoon proved, as was surmised, to be tho Thorno, Capt. Hatchwell, coal laden from Newcastle, N.S.W. She has commenced discharging her cargo to-day into the steamer Fairy. The s.s. Maori, Captain Anderson, took her departure for Wairoa at 9 o'clock last night, taking two passengers and a fair cargo.

Tne steamer Sir Donald returned from Blackhead at 6 o'clock this morning, bringing 112 dumps of wool, which she transhipped to the barque Wave Queen later on. Tho Union Company's s.s. Jidanapouri left Auckland at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, with 40 tons of cargo on board for this port. She will leave Qisborne to-night, arriving here by daylight in the morning. The ketch Admiral will tender her for inward cargo, and the Boojum as usual for mails and passengers, the steamer sailing southwards as soon after 11.30 as possible. Messrs Shaw Savill and Co.'s barqno Wave Q.ueen has now over 2,000 bales of wool on board, and is rapidly filling up. It is expected that she will sail for London before Christmas time. Tho Union Company's s.s. Te Anan is expected to leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon, and is due here on Sunday morning. The steamer Rotomahana, Captain Underwood, which got aground in the river Yarra, •was floated last night, and left Melbourne for Hobart and the Bluff at midnight. She is expected to arrive here on Sunday week. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, is expected to leave Wellington for here on Saturday night. (By Cable.) London, December 6. The Orient steamship Liguria arrived at Plymouth to-day from Melbourne, which port she left on October 25th. Melbotjene, December 8. Sailed, at midnight, Rotomahana for tho Bluff. Sydney, December 7. Sailed, this afternoon, steamship Avawata for Auckland. (by telegraph.) Lytielton, December S. Arrived, Aniie Main, barque, from Liverpool, Captain Popham, 109 days out; also, Agnes Donald from Atickland.
