Fieher, Esq, Adair waa got by Kantin Robin (imported), foaled 1866 (Champion horse of Scotland), out of Darling (imported), foaled 1868 (Champion mare of Scotland) Kantin Kobin won as a one and two-year-old re any fiiet prizes. As a three-year-old the Selkirkshire Agricultural Society's premium of L4O, and the third prize at the Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh. As a four-year-old won the Midlothian Agricultural Association's premium of LSO, and the Highland Society's gold medal at Perth. His sire Bergamic won the Highland Society's first prize at Kelso in 1863, and numerous other first prizes. Bergamie's dam Maggie won three first prizes at Campbelltown, and her sire Farmer's Fancy won the Highlaud Society s first prize at Glasgow in 1815. Hi i dam Peggy won many prizes, and was got by Clyde Boy, first prize Stallion at Haddington Show, 1858, also second priz* at Highland Society a Show, 1868. Clyde Boy was the sire of the Champion horse Sir Walter Scott, who gained the highest honors at the Royal Society c Show in England, and the Highland Society s Show ia Scotland. Darling won as a yearling—first prizes at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society s at Aberdeen, As a two-year-old won first prize at Dumfries; as a three-year-old first prize at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Societys at Perth; as a four-year-old, first prize at Hamilton and Glasgow ; Cup at Newcastle as a five-year-old, first prize at Glasgow ; second prize at Stirling; Highland Society s Cup at Newcastle, and 50 guineas for the best mare in the yard. As a six-year-old, first prize Glasgow and Stirling. Her sire Prince Albert was a noted Stallion, dam Old Darling by Samson won as a three-year-old firet prize at the Highland Society c Show at Stirling. As a four-year-old, firet prize at the Highland Society s Show at Inverness; and first prize at Ayr. She was also the dam of Prince of Wales, Prince Arthur and of two other colta, sold as yearlings at 200 guineas each. Robin Adair will serve a limited number ot mares this season, aud will stand at Puketapu, where good paddocks are provided. One months grass free, afterwards 3s per week.
