JlTessrs M. R. Wilier and Pott's report as follows :—There was a fair attendance at; our horse sale yesterday at Hastings. The most of the draught horses were disposed of, but the bidding for hacks was very slow. The prices realised for draught stock were as follows :—Bay horse, 4-yr-old, £33 ; grry mare, £50 ; 1 6 yr-old, £45 ; 1 7-yr-old, £60 ; bay horse, £40 ; and 1 do clo, £30. Haclcs were disposed of at prices ranging from £3 to £11. Feveral drays and a large quantity of harness wore sold at satisfactory prices.

(BY CABLE.) London, December 5. Consols are quoted at 991, ex-dividend. Ihe market rate of discount haa been reduced by three-eights to 3& per cent. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotation , *:—Fire per cent 10-40 loan, 105£-; five per cent 1889 loan, 104, exdividend ; four and a half per cent 1879----1904 loan, 102£. Adelaide wheat, ex-warehouse, is quoted at 49/-, a decline of 6d; New Zealand •wheat, ex-warehouse, remains at 43/6 to 46/6, and Adelaide flour at 34/-. Australian tallow is unchanged at 42/- for best beef, and 44/6 for best mutton. Melboubne, December 6.

Shipping wheat is in fair demand at 5/10 to 6/- ; there is a moderate enquiry for malting barley at 3/9 to 4/2 ; New Zealand oats are in good demand at 3/11 to 4/3 for feeding qualities, and 4/4 to 4/5 for milling sorts.
