TARANAKI RACES.
(By Telegraph.) New Plymouth, December 7. The above races came off to-day. The weather was flae. Tbe attendance was not large early in tbe day, although the number present increased later on. HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE. New Year 1 Diantbus 2 Larrikin 3 This was an exciting race towards the end. A protest was lodged against New Year by the owner of Dianthus for not jumping properly.
