December 5. At the Resident Magistrate's Court on Saturday the charge against James Wylde, late town clerk, rate collector, and treasurer to the Borough Council, for embezzling sums of money of from £1 to £s—in all £29 6s6d—was concluded, and the accused was committed for trial. Bail was allowed—himself in £200, and two sureties in £100 each.
