England v. New South Wales.
Sidney, December 2.
The cricket match between tbe New South Wales eleven and the English team was resumed to-day. The weather was fine, and there was a very large attendance of spectators. The Englishmen went on with their first innings, the not-outs of the previous day (Barlow and Mr Leslie) resuming their places at the wickets. Both players made a splendid stand, and runs ran up fast. Mr Leslie was finally caught when he had put together 144, and Barlow followed with 90 (bowled). Mr C. T. Studd was bowled for 23, and Bates was caught and bowled for 30. At the close of the day's play the English eleven bad scored 441 for eight wickets.
