A suspicious circumstance has transpired in connection with the recent burning of the Cheltenham sawmills at Feilding. The N.Z. Insurance Company offers a reward of £50 for the conviction of the perpetrators of the crime. Detective Benjamin has arrived there to make inquiries into tbe matter. Tbe Customs duties last month were £18,600, showing an increase of £2500 over the corresponding month of last year.
