CRICKET.

Tradesmen v Commission Agents. Tbis match was played at Petane yesterday. The day was fine, and tbe ground was in good order. Mr Monteith captained the Agents, and Mr Gilberd the Traders. The latter were first at the wickets, and were all disposed of for 46 runs, Cassia being the only one who went into double figures. The agents, iv their first innings, scored 56, of which Gibbons contributed 29, and Smyth not out 13. In the second innings of the Tradesmen a total of 38 runs were obtained, Gilberd making 14. The Agents wanted 28 runs to win, and succeeded in getting the required number with the loss of four wickets. Majors Routledge and Richardson officiated as umpires, and gave general stisfaction. Considerable interest was manifested in the match. England v. Sandhurst, Melbourne, November 23. The cricket match between the English team and twenty-two of Sandhurst was concluded to-day. The weather was fine, and tbe attendance of spectators was again large. The visitors, with six wickets down and 36 runs to their credit, continued their first innings which closed for 117. Mr 0. F. H. Leslie, with 48 not out, was the highest scorer. The home team then went iv for its second innings, and were all disposed of for 119 runs. The Englishmen then went in again, and at tbe conclusion of the day's play had scored 28 runs without the loss of a single wicket. It being a two days match the game was drawn, tbe visitors requiring to make 76 runs to win.
