THE IRON POT BRIDGE.
[To the Editoe of the Daily Telegbaph.] —Will you allow me to draw attention through your columns to the unprotected state of the end of the bridge opposite the Union Company's offices. For a long time this dangerous corner baa been a source of uneasiness to many— numbers of little children cross and recross the bridge daily on their way to and from school, and if something is not done to it some precious little life will surely be sacrificed. One little girl running sharply round the corner, fell over, but as the tide was out she escaped unhurt. Another very little one fell over, and was rescued by her brother catching her clothes. I 6incerely hope the gentlemen whose duty it is to see to such matters will look to it, and relieve the mind of many a mother on the Spit. Hoping you will give this appeal a place in your paper.—l am, &c, A Mother. November 21st, 1882.
