November 22—Sir Donald, s.s., for Mangakuri. 22—Three Brothers, ketch, for Waimarama. 22—Manaia, p.s., for Tongoio.
The Union Company's launch Boojum, Capt. Maloney, returned to port from Wairoa at, 5.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing two passengers. The steamer Sir Donald, Capt. Q.uinlan, left for Mangakuri last night, with the ketch Three Brothers in tow for Wairtarama, but when off the Kidnappers her engines came to grief, and she was obliged to return to port this morning for repairs. She will probably get again to-night. The p.B. Manaia went down to Tongoio and landed a few tons of cargo during this morning. She will probably be leaving for Wairoa on Friday next. The s.s. Kiwi, Capt. Campbell, arrived in the roadstead from Wellington at 8 o'clock this morning, and was brought inside and berthed at the breastwork at 11.30 a.m. She reports having left Wellington at 7 o'clock on Monday night; called at Uriti next day; landed 20 tons and shipped wool, and left at 7 p.m., arriving at Castle Point at 10 p.m. ; left at 1 p.m. next day, called at Turnagain, and arrived here as above. She brought 100 toas of cargo for here, consisting of transhipments out of the Mercia and general goods. Should she get discharged in time she will leave again for Wellington late this evening. The Union Company's s.s. Southern"Cross, Captain Bernech, arrived here at an enrly hour this morning from Gisborne and Auckland, and was berthed at the cattle wharf later on, where she discharged her cargo, some 30 tons, during the forenoon. She was to take in a load of cattle this afternoon, and leave for Dunedm direct at 4 o'clock.
The steamer, "Rotorna, Captain Tozer, is to leave Auckland this afternoon, and is due here on Saturday morning. The Union Company's steamers Arawata and Omapere are expected here from Southern ports on Saturday morning.
