Those favorable to the establishment in this town of a lodge of the Ancient Order of Druids aro requested to meet afc Stock's Albion Hotel at 8 o'clock to-night, when Mr Bishop, the District President, will be present to afford information to intending candidates. The annual meeting of tho Napier Young Men's Mutual Improvement Association takes place at 8 o'clock this evening in St. Paul's school room. Tenders for the bricklayer's, plasterer's, carpenter's, and joiner's work required in the erection of tie new ironmongery premises for Mr H. Williams must bo sent in to Mr T. R. Cooper to-morrow. Captain Blytlie, of the Eifle Volunteers directs the attention of his company to the district orders issued by Major Koutledge. A private special train leaves Hastings, calling at intermediate stations, on Saturday evening for tho opera, and another leaves Waipukurau for Napier and intervening stations on Wednesday next, both returning after the opera. Messrs ilonteith and Co.'s weekly stock and produce sale at the Horse Bazaar takes place as usual on Saturday. Mr B. Tuke has fifteen acres of land, divided into three paddocks, with tworoomed cottago and large milking shed, on the new Taradalo road, for lease for a term of years. Mr J. E. Martin, West Clivo, wants to purchase a second-hand keel or llat-bottomcd boat. Messrs McEwan and Murray have added . a dressmaking department to their drapery > establishment at Hastings, which will bo
opened on Wednesday next in charge of Miss Langley. Mr Denholm has been appointed agent at the Spit for Mr Woods, pharmaceutical chemist. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted" column.
