November 21. The Rotorua, with the carbine champion and the Thames and Auckland representatives, arrived at midnight. A dinner was held immediately afterwards. Judge Macdonald has refused to grant an injunction applied for by tbe Corporation against the Manure and Tallow Manufacturing Company for placing their factory in the vicinity of the city water supply springs. The refusal was on the ground that a nuisance must be first created and proved to exist before an injunction can be granted.
