November 21

A smart shock of earthquake was experienced here yesterday evening at 9 o'clock, which continued for several seconds. At first the shock was slight and the direction undecided, but as it increased in violence the direction was distinctly found to be east and west. Later a brilliant Aurora Australis was observed.
