MELBOURNE.

November 15

At their wool sale to-day Messrs Goldsborough and Co. (limited) catalogued 4800 bales. The attendance of buyers was large, and the brisk competition experienced at the recent sales was fully maintained. Tbe highest prices realised were 15_& for greasy, and 2|d for scoured. Four thousand five hundred bales were sold, and three hundred withdrawn.

November 16

Mr J. Rosser, the emergency man, takeß the place of Mr T. W. Groube in the eleven to play for Victoria to-morrow against the English team. Information is to hand that the railway between Suez and Alexandria has been resumed, and passengers will now be forwarded from Alexandria to Venice. Archibald Forbes leaves for New Zealand on the 21st iustant by the Manapouri.
