As a three-year-old the Selkirkshire Agricultural Society's premium of L4O, and the third prize at tho Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh. As a four-year-old won the Midlothian Agricultural Association's premium of LSO, and the Highland Society's gold medal at Perth. His sire Bergamic won the Highland Society's first prize at Kelso in 1863, and numerous other first prizes. Bergamie's dam Maggie won three first prizes at Campbelltown, and her sire Farmer's Fancy won the Highlaud Society s first prize at Glasgow in 1545. Hi i dam Peggy won many prizes, and was got by Clyde Boy, first prize Stallion at Haddington Show, 1858, also second prizs at Highland Society s Show, IBSS. Clyde Boy was the Bire of the Champion horse Sir Walter Scott, who gained the highest honors at the Koyal Societj s Show in England, and the Highland Society s Show in Scotland. Darling won as a yearling—first prizes at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society s at Aberdeen, As a two-year-old won first prize at Dumfries; as a three-year-old first prize at Ayr, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Highland Society sat Perth; as a four-year-old, first prize at Hamilton and Glasgow ; Cup at Newcastle as a five-year-old, first prize at Glasgow ; second prize at Stirling; Highland Society s Cup at Newcastle, and 50 guineas for the best mare in the yard. As a six-year-old, first prize at Glasgow and Stirling. Her sire Prince Albert was a coted Stallion. Her dam Old Darling by Samson won as a three-year-old firet prize at tho Highland Society s Show at Stirling. As a four-year-old, first prize st the Highland So. cietys Show at Inverness; and first prize at Ayr. She was also the dam of Prince of Wales, Prince Arthur and of two other colts, sold as yearlings at 200 guineas each. Robin Aciair will serve a limited number of mares this season, and will stand at Puketapu, where good paddocks are provided. One month s grass free, afterwards 3s per week. Due notice will be given on mares being stinted, and every care taken, but no responsibility.
