The decomposed body of a man, minus the head, legs, and arms, was found near Lake Takapuna yesterday. It is supposed to be one of the seamen of the ship Aehmore.

A ten-roomed house—Hatfield's Temperance Hotel—at Waiwera was burned down on Friday night. It was insured in the Imperial office for £200, and the furniture for £100.
