October 27. Intelligence is to hand that two British officers named Gill and Charington, and Professor Palmer, who were sent in August last into the interior to purchase camels, have been massacred by the Bedouins. Two of tbe bodies of the victims have been recovered. H.R.H. the Duke of Connaught has started on his return to England.
