WASTE LANDS BOARD.

[We continue our report of the proceedings of the Waste Lands Boarda commenced in last issue ] MISCELLANEOUS. A letter was read from Neil Thompson, with reference to a notice fronr the Board requsting him to complete by the end of November tho fencing that should have been erected in August, 1881, stating that the other improvements made by him on his selection in the Bush Mills Special Settlement were in excess of what was required, and requesting to be permitted to pay the balance due on his selection.— Consideration deferred; holding to be inspected in the meantime. John Herlihy requested to be allowed to use 20 chains of road adjoining bis selection which at present was not required for public traffic—lt was decided that the Board had no power to graDt the request. A letter was received from C. H. Alley, requesting to be allowed to pay the bafance due on eection 32, Victoria Special Settlement.—Consideration deferred pending Eanger'a report. LICENSES. Licenses were ordered to be issued in respect to the following applications to take up land on deferred payments : —No, 88, F. A. Magrudie, section 3, block 13, Tahoraite survey district; No. 89, E. T. Sturdy, section 2, block 13, Tahoraite survey district; No. 90, T. Jackson, section 22, block 9, Tahoraite survey district. APPLICATION REFUSED. Application No. 2603 to purchase 200 acres in the Tahoraite survey district was refused ia order that the land might be classified and offered at auction in accordance with the provisions of the Land Act of last session. The Board then adjourned.
