Intelligence has been received here that the steamship Gulf of Finland, 1586 tons, outward from Liverpool to Melbourne, went ashore at Geobulzoognr, in the Red Sea, and is in need of assistance, which has since been promptly sent from Aden. A military commission has been appointed to inquire into the cause of the defects which were apparent in the army hospital and transport services during the recent operations of the British troops in Egypt.
